Civil Engineer Technician II-III

NECI is currently seeking an Engineer in Training for our full time position in the Bemidji office.
We require someone who has experience in civil design, AutoCAD drafting, and construction monitoring. This position will include working on projects in Bemidji and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Design of municipal utility and roadways, site design, quantity estimates, and other engineering support functions
- Design and prepare roadway construction drawings, typical/cross sections, erosion and sediment control plans, traffic control plans, storm water management, drainage design, and signing and pavement marking plans
- Perform other design-related tasks, such as quantity calculations, geometric calculations, roadway layout, grading plans, and utility plans
- AutoCAD Civil 3D design
- Perform construction observation
- Prepare and document material reports, test results and material sources
- Maintain daily logs of inspections and review any discrepancies with the appropriate parties
- Prepare and review pay reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- EI or ability to take FE exam within 6 months
- 0-5 years of experience in Municipal or Transportation design
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Excellent computer and communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
- Self-motivated and perform with attention to detail and accuracy
